Troller T4 concept is Ford's toughest little truck

Ford’s toughest little truck just got tougher.

The Troller T4, made by the automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary, has been given the car show treatment with a special version that’s dressed to impress both in the woods and around town.

The two-door SUV has been updated with heavy-duty shocks, snorkel-type air intake, extreme off-road bumper, and a front-mounted winch that should get it out of any sticky situation, while Troller says the tan over brown color scheme lends it a “sophisticated look” inside and out.

The T4 is built with a composite body on a steel frame, features front and rear live axles, is powered by a 3.2-liter five-cylinder turbodiesel engine and sells in Brazil for about $45,000. It’s basically a 4x4 geek’s dream. The concept will be unveiled at the Sao Paulo Auto Show later this week along side a Rescue truck-outfitted T4.

Unfortunately, you can keep dreaming if you live in the U.S., the T4 was not engineered to meet American safety standards and there are no plans to bring it here.
